Before you enroll

  • Pickup lists change every year, and most providers need a minimum number of children from a school. Ask each one to confirm Kirkbride pickup for the days you need.
  • Ask what happens on early-dismissal days and district days off.
  • City rec centers post each year’s after-school listing late, so call before counting on a price or a spot. Their listings live in the Parks & Rec finder.
  • Free, city-funded programs are in the city’s After School and Summer Program Locator.
  • Kirkbride has a free after-school program in the building, run by Sunrise of Philadelphia. Sunrise lists no before care at Kirkbride.
  • Three outside programs name Kirkbride on their own pickup lists: Beehive at Bok, Philly InMovement’s Bok location and Dandelion After School. For Pre-K, Philly InMovement lists a pickup on Monday to Thursday.
  • The school’s page names its clubs and teams but not their days or times, so ask the office.
