The short version
- There are no accounts and no ads, and nothing you send is sold.
- Your rosters, including any child’s name you type, are saved in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
- If you send a suggestion or a review, it arrives as an email to the person who runs the site.
- We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used, so we can fix what’s confusing.
Rosters and children’s names
- A roster lives in the browser you made it in. Clearing your browser’s site data deletes it.
- A child’s name is optional. If you add one, it stays on your device and appears in the link you choose to share.
- Anyone who has a roster’s link can see that roster, so share it the way you’d share a family calendar.
- When a shared roster is opened, the site removes the name from the page address before any analytics loads, and the roster page is set to be hidden in session recordings.
- If you add a photo to a week card, the card is made in your own browser. The photo is not uploaded, not saved, and gone when you close the page.
Suggestions, corrections and reviews
- What you type into a form is emailed to the site’s inbox, and a backup copy is kept on our web host in case the email goes missing.
- Your email address is used only to reply to you or to confirm something. It is never published.
- A review that is approved appears on the site with your first name, your child’s school and the month. Nothing else about you is shown.
- Asking for a school to be covered sends only the school’s name.
- Please don’t include children’s names or other people’s personal details in what you send.
Analytics and recordings
- Google Analytics records which pages are visited and which buttons, filters and searches are used, along with general details such as device type and approximate location. That includes the words typed into the program search box.
- Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, including heatmaps and replays of scrolling and clicking, to help us improve the site. We have set it to hide form fields and the roster page.
- Both services use cookies and similar technologies, and Google and Microsoft handle that data under their own privacy terms: how Google uses information from sites that use its services, the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- You can block both with your browser’s privacy settings or a content blocker, and the site will still work.
- Like every website, our host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
